So, since updating to Windows 10, my graphics chip is not functioning properly. It’s an Intel HD Graphics As of this post, the generic Microsoft graphics driver is being used, which is very limited in terms of graphics functions.
I have tried multiple times to install the drivers from Intel and even the driver package from my laptop manufacturer. None will install and I get an error Code I know multiple people have this problem and I don’t see any input from Intel or Microsoft on this being resolved.
I saw one YouTube video that pretty such stated that if Windows 10 is installed and attempts to install video drivers, that it fails to do so properly and the only way to resolve it is to do a clean install of Windows 10 wiping hard-drive and stop it from installing video drivers.
Then to install video drivers using some complicated administrative process. Obviously, this is an advanced process to follow and I’m not willing to wipe my hard drive in order to get the video drivers working properly.
I hope there is a solution to this that doesn’t involve wiping the hard drive to get it working properly. Until this is resolved, I will not be updating my laptop to Windows 10 because it has the same graphics chip.

I had to set the Windows Driver Foundation – User-mode Driver Framework service to Automatic from manual and everything worked fine after a reboot.
